Cuban Jazz

Tracks
Sansar

Roman Filiú's new record Blowin' Reflections is a mix of Cuban rhythms and jazz, tells stories through music, achieving a deep and original sound. It was recorded in Madrid and produced by Bost Espacio Creativo.

In this recording the Roman Filiú Quintet interprets original compositions, almost entirely by Filiú, a Cuban saxophonist with vast talent. A graduate of the Instituto Superior de Arte de La Habana, he has formed part of the group Irakere and has played with a wide variety of musicians, including Pablo Milanés and Gonzalo Rubalcaba. He has also worked with renowned artists such as David Murray, Michael Mossman, Steve Coleman, Roy Hargrove, Adam Nussbaum and Chucho Valdés.
