 Jacqueline CarbonellJacqueline Carbonell grew up in Santiago de Cuba where she studied piano at the Escuela Nacional de Arte in Santiago and musicology at the Instituto Superior de Arte in Havanna. Since 1999 she lives in Austria where in 2004 she finished her Master of Advanced Studies in Arts Management at the Vienna Music University. She has been active as an advanced training lecturer at musicology workshops in Spain as well as at the Vienna Music University. She has performed with Tangerine Dream, Sanmera, Viennese Salsa, the Burgtheater-Production Kasino by Peter Turrini, Celia Mara and Tschiritsch's Uhrwerk. Today, she manages numerous Cuban groups in Austria and organizes the weekly live-program in the Cuban-Caribbean music-club Floridita in Vienna and is the artistic director of the Jazzklosterneuburg Festival. |
 Christof SpörkChristof Spörk obtained his doctorate in political sciences with his theses on "Music & Politics in Cuba since 1959". From 2000 to 2001 he worked as a journalist with the Austrian political magazine profil. In 2002 musician/songwriter Spörk established the musical group Global Kryner with whom he gives numerous performances in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Holland, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, and the Ukraine up until today. In 2003 he received the Salzburger Stier award with his musical cabaret formation Landstreich. In 2005 his band Global Kryner received the Amadeus award in the category Pop/Rock National, and in 2006 he received the German cabaret- award Prix Pantheon. |
